THE GREAT CALLING BEGINS WITH A QUESTION

Tonight something didn’t go as most people had suggested that it would go. Donald Trump defied all the predictive polls that suggested that Hillary Clinton would win, most predicted in a landslide. For many tonight there is a feeling of fear, a fear that has been perpetrated by many. Many will see this as the “worst thing ever” or a reason to get angry, or does it?

I see it different, I see this as a great challenge that the citizens of America can accept. We can sit here and let others make us fearful for many different reasons, or and stay with me here… We can get up off the couch, from behind our computers, phones, iPads etc. and get together with others in the outside world. You and I have more power than you think. We have the ability to make this country better organically than any president from Washington D.C. can. We can go out and show others unconditional love, love that doesn’t require relations, love that only requires one human being seeing another human being and each finding the innate worth that we all are born with and loving and respecting them for it.

If you are on social media tonight you’ve seen all the negative, fear mongering that is being spewed across the worldwide web. Why not decide to change the narrative? Instead of talking about what you think might happen down the road, why not get up off your butt and go be a good human being. If we as American citizens can go out in our own neighborhoods, cities and states and offer to help those around us who needs it we can make a difference. I don’t know why we need to wait for a president to start being a good person and make a difference. Most of us will never meet a president, but every day we do meet those who could use a smile, a hug or just a kind word.

What I’m proposing isn’t out of the box, its quite simple. I’m sure that most of you were raised to be a good person, I don’t know anyone whose parents raised him or her to be bad people. So why not give it a try? Why not make the world a better place with the power that YOU already have? Why can’t we start by protecting those in workplaces, classrooms and churches that need someone to stand up for them?

There is a calling that each one of us can answer, we can be the difference, will you join me?
