Never Forget!

There are days in life that we remember vividly, we remember everything that happened that day, what we were thinking, saying and doing. Working with older Americans I’ve learned that these days include the day you get married, the day your first child is born and acts of war. They tell me stories about these days all the time. They tell me about their weddings and about how it felt to hold their first child in their hands. They tell me wild stories about the Attack on Pearl Harbor, how they heard, what they were doing and how it changed their life. I can’t say that I know what many of those days feel like, except for when there is an act of war.

Here's to you Mr. Dufner

Going through a loss is part of life. It is something we all experience in one form or another. For me lately it has been losing my girlfriend and my cousin moving to California for nursing school. In the last of a month I have packed up the two people I spent almost everyday of the last year with, loaded their cars and watched them drive out of my life. It’s left me at a loss of companionship and my support system. Naturally I’ve been looking for stories of good things happening to people who have or are experiencing loss, little did I know that I wouldn’t have to look any further for a story than the PGA Championship.
