Last night I was hanging out with one of my best friends Daniel and catching up with a friend from my childhood and his wife. It was great to catch up and see what has been going on over the last 15 years since we had seen each other. I was taken a back by something my friend's wife said, "The worst thing you can say to me is that I'm wrong, it makes me feel stupid."

Rediscovering The Spark

Sitting at the Starbucks in Albany, Oregon there are a hundred things going through my head. Most of them don't stick around long enough to be worth of a mention as I sip my coffee and watch people walk in and out of the door. I have sat here for two hours trying to figure out what to write about. I've searched Twitter for anything interesting, looked scores and talked on the phone but nothing. As boredom sets in I randomly look through my browser history. As I look I see pages and a think about what is on each one, then it hits me and I know what to write about.

Starting is always the hardest part. No matter what it is, writing, working out, or making any change to your life. Talk is easy, talk is cheap, talk is not action, talk is excuse. Starting is hard, it is action, it takes testicular fortitude. Starting means putting your foot down, drawing a line in the sand and refusing to go backwards.
